KUTZTOWN PENNSYLVANIA
- THE IDEAL COMMUNITY
Kutztown is a complete and compact borough that offers a little
bit of everything to its residents. It has an ample share of all
the necessities: food, clothing and drugstores, gas stations, banks,
churches, schools, hardware stores and gift shops, book stores,
barber and beauty shops and more. For recreation and relaxation,
Kutztown has various sports leagues associated with local clubs,
the famous Crystal Cave nearby, a selection of taverns and restaurants.
For safety and health care, Kutztown has its own Ambulance and Fire
Company, doctors of many specialties and a medical center with x-ray
and other diagnostic equipment. The borough even has its own street
department.
Aside from all that Kutztown has to offer, it has another outstanding
feature - its location. In other words, if you can't find what you're
looking for here in Kutztown, you won't have to go far to find it.
Kutztown is halfway between the cities of Allentown and Reading,
both of which have populations of over 100,000. They both boast
noted hospitals, theaters, extensive shopping and an exciting nightlife
- and are only 16 miles away. New York and Philadelphia are easily
accessible. Center City Philadelphia can be reached by car in 1
1/2 hours and New York, though easily accessible by car as well,
can be reached in 2 1/2 hours by the Bieber Bus Company's one stop
express which leaves from bus company headquarters in downtown Kutztown.
Kutztown is 1 1/2 hours from the Poconos, very close to 3 ski resorts,
and 12 miles from the Appalachian Trail for hiking buffs.
All the strong points mentioned combined with the familiarity and
friendly atmosphere of a small town make Kutztown an "ideal
community."
